  • SAS® Forecasting with SAP
    SAS Data Surveyor for SAP allows you to integrate information with SAP R/3 and SAP BW systems in real time or in dialogue (batch) mode. In addition, SAS has developed a search engine to identify where data is stored in SAP R/3. These SAS interfaces are all Netweaver certified by SAP.

    You can also apply SAS forecasting capabilities on top of SAP, meaning that you can extract all relevant data from SAP, or any other data source, and use SAS to perform all forecasting activities. Because SAS can feed the forecasting results back into SAP R/3, SAP BW, SAP APO or any other SAP industry solution, SAS makes your SAP environment more intelligent and closes the loop with your operational transactions.

    In addition, you can also use SAS to forecast from within SAP. For example, if using SAP APO, you can take advantage of SAS software’s powerful forecasting capabilities in real time. In a completely transparent fashion, SAS will read data from SAP liveCache, perform all forecasting activities and store the results back in SAP liveCache. This intimate integration allows you to apply SAS in your business processes as implemented by SAP.
