Dr. Mark Milliron is President and CEO of Catalyze Learning International, a private consulting and services group. He is an award-winning education leader, author, speaker and consultant who is known for exploring leadership development, future trends, learning strategies and the human side of technology change. Dr. Milliron previously served as an Endowed Fellow, Senior Lecturer and Director of the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development in the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin; Vice President for Education and Medical Practice at SAS; and as President and CEO of the League for Innovation in the Community College.

   Patti Barney

Patti Barney is Vice President for Information Technology at Broward Community College (BCC) in Florida. Patti has 25 years of higher education and technology experience at BCC and has been instrumental in leading change in the industry through collaborative efforts and successful partnerships. A BCC distinguished alumnus, she received her bachelor’s degree from Barry University and earned a Master of Science degree from Florida State University in library and information studies. Patti sits on the "One Broward Broadband" Board of Directors and is Vice Chair of the FCCSC Executive Council.

J. Michael Hardin photo
   Dr. J. Michael Hardin

Dr. J. Michael Hardin is a professor of statistics and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Alabama. His specialty areas include data mining and knowledge discovery, data visualization, data warehousing, statistical classification models, data management and collection methodologies, and more. Dr. Hardin has authored or co-authored more than 80 papers in various journals, has authored more than 150 abstracts presented at national meetings and has given more than 75 invited lectures or talks. He also wrote several book chapters on database design and decision support systems. Dr. Hardin often serves as a consultant to healthcare organizations in the areas of data mining, sampling and program integrity, and he is an instructor and consultant for SAS in the areas of data mining and time series analysis.

   Laura Mercer

Laura Mercer is the Manager of Research at Sinclair Community College in Ohio. Working with internal and external constituencies, she is responsible for managing the institution's research agenda, state reporting, the development and interpretation of effectiveness measures, and the enhancement of the institution's decision support capabilities. She has over 20 years experience in higher education and has held a variety of roles at Sinclair since 1989.
