Tom Bohannon photo
   Dr. Tom R. Bohannon

Dr. Tom R. Bohannon is CEO of Analytical Business Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in applying analytical methods to business problems in industry and higher education. Before retiring from Baylor University in April 2007, Bohannon was Director and Assistant Vice President for the Office of Institutional Research and Testing for 20 years. Dr. Bohannon’s nearly 30-year career in IR included the application of data mining methods to enrollment management, retention and fundraising; his recent interests include quality control, design of experiments and data warehousing. Dr. Bohannon has partnered with SAS for more than 25 years as an instructor, consultant and active participant in SAS user group events, and he has served in leadership positions in several professional organizations, including AIR, SAIR, NCAIR and TAIR.

J. Michael Hardin photo
   Dr. J. Michael Hardin

Dr. J. Michael Hardin is a professor of statistics and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Alabama. His specialty areas include data mining and knowledge discovery, data visualization, data warehousing, statistical classification models, data management and collection methodologies, and more. Dr. Hardin has authored or co-authored more than 80 papers in various journals, has authored more than 150 abstracts presented at national meetings and has given more than 75 invited lectures or talks. He also wrote several book chapters on database design and decision support systems. Dr. Hardin often serves as a consultant to healthcare organizations in the areas of data mining, sampling and program integrity, and he is an instructor and consultant for SAS in the areas of data mining and time series analysis.

   Dr. Amanda Yale

Dr. Amanda Yale is the associate provost for enrollment services at Slippery Rock University. In this role, she oversees integration and development of the university’s undergraduate and graduate enrollment management efforts designed to increase enrollment, retention and learner success in a seamless environment. In recent years, Dr. Yale has led several initiatives that produced national awards and recognitions for exemplary programs and services related to marketing and recruitment initiatives, retention programming, first year initiatives, and academic advisement for the university.

   Georgia Mariani

Georgia Mariani is the Global Industry Marketing Manager for Education at SAS, driving product and marketing direction by creating and implementing global education initiatives. Prior to this role, she managed analytic strategy at SAS and was a systems engineer, consulting with sales prospects in the government and education industries regarding their analytical business questions and implementing SAS software and solutions.
