Call for Posters

Here's your chance to be recognized by the analytics community for your work in the field.

Poster presentations provide an excellent opportunity for analytics practitioners to present their projects and receive professional feedback from leaders in the field of analytics.

Any analytics practitioner from the corporate or academic fields may submit a poster for A2009. Posters will be located centrally in the conference area and be accessible throughout the conference.

Poster submission guidelines

  • To participate, attendees must submit a poster abstract to Georg.morsing@sdk.sas.com.
  • The abstract must include
    • a short description of the company/organization/academic institution you work in
    • the problem/research goal
    • an explanation of how you have used analytics methodology and tools to improve your processes and/or analyze your work
    • documentation of your results including graphics and pictures, where appropriate
    • a synopsis of what you have learned.
  • Poster abstracts must be 200 words or fewer.
  • No abstracts will be accepted after 1 June 2009.
  • When your poster abstract has been approved, you will receive a Microsoft Word template from SAS. You will then create the content for the poster in this Word document and return it to SAS before 15 June 2009.
  • SAS will produce a 70 x 100 cm display board and 1-2 page PDF document for each poster to be displayed during the conference.
  • Further instructions and specifications for poster presentations will be provided when your abstract is accepted.

Conference fees

  • Poster presentations that are accepted from academia (faculty and full-time students) will allow the primary presenter to attend the conference for free. You must be currently enrolled in or employed by an accredited university or college to be eligible for the free conference registration.
  • Poster presentations that are accepted from the business world will allow the primary presenter to attend the conference at 50% of the regular fee at a price of 350 euros.
