Analytics Conference: A2009

A Look Back at A2009

We began with the idea of having annual analytics conferences in Europe, and A2009 was a very successful kickoff. Almost 300 people from 30 countries in Europe and Africa gathered in Copenhagen 1-2 July to learn about best practices, new techniques and the latest trends in applied analytics.

As part of the conference, we conducted a poster contest on analytical projects. Elena Pallini from Nunatac in Milano, Italy, was our winner. Her poster, titled Wake Them Up Before It's Too Late! Predicting Dormant Status to Prevent Banking Churn, earned Elena a free trip to M2009, the world's leading data mining conference in Las Vegas 26-27 October.
