SAS ranks No. 2 on 2013 FORTUNE list of Best Companies to Work For in the US

Business analytics leader cultivates great business through great workplace

SAS again earns a spot on FORTUNE magazine's list of 100 Best Companies to Work For in the US, marking its 10th time in the top 10. Business analytics leader SAS ranks No. 2 this year for its challenging work, empowering leadership and great workplace environment. SAS has made the list every year since its 1998 inception.

SAS believes that happy, healthy employees drive the innovation that supports SAS' leadership in business analytics.

SAS CEO Jim Goodnight said, "Our ability to attract and keep creative employees directly contributes to SAS' consistent revenue growth, profitability and industry-leading products and solutions."

At the heart of the business model is a simple idea: satisfied employees create satisfied customers.

Jenn Mann, SAS Vice President of Human Resources, said, "SAS on-site health care, fitness center, subsidized child care, and numerous wellness programs reduce distractions. Employees are not only happier, but they also feel valued, which makes them more productive."

SAS' employee turnover rate remains extraordinarily low: 3.3 percent versus an industry norm of 22 percent. By reducing turnover, SAS reduces recruitment costs, retains knowledge and builds deeper, longer-term customer relationships. SAS sees a strong connection between employee loyalty and business success.

Last year, SAS ranked No. 1 on the elite "Top 25 World's Best Multinational Workplaces" list from Great Place to Work®. SAS ranked No. 3 on the FORTUNE 2012 Best Companies to Work For list in the U.S., and No. 1 on the U.S. list in 2010 and 2011.

Today, the list is available exclusively via the FORTUNE on-the-go app for iPad®. View the full list, company profiles and related stories online January 17, or in the Feb. 4 issue of FORTUNE.
