SAS dubbed "World Class Center" by ABPM
New Executive Briefing Center for SAS customers honored by Association of Briefing Program Managers
The newest building on SAS’ 900-acre campus has received ABPM’s World Class New Center award. This award honors “world class achievement in the design of briefing centers, whose ultimate goal is to support, and to represent in the physical environment, their program’s mission, vision and values.” SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, is one of four companies to receive the award this year.
Since opening in March 2011, the SAS Executive Briefing Center (EBC) has hosted more than 8,000 visitors who experience not only the renowned SAS workplace culture, but also gain a greater understanding of the solutions and services SAS offers to solve business problems and leverage market opportunities. State-of-the-art technology includes multiple 65-inch flat-panel screens, smart tablets that serve as whiteboards, automatic lighting and shade controls, and fiber optic connectivity that integrates with camera feeds across campus. Two acoustically advanced auditoriums offer theatrical lighting, wired and wireless microphones, and video mixers to polish recordings.

Each brainstorming session, product demonstration, training and focus group in the EBC has truly been enhanced by the staff and facilities at SAS.”
SAS received the award at ABPM’s annual awards ceremony in Boston on Thursday, March 29. Submissions were judged by a panel featuring distinguished architects, interior designers, technology designers and creative directors with extensive experience designing briefing centers. Entries for the New or Renovated Center category were judged on design and innovation, with an emphasis on raising the standard and expanding the definition of design excellence in support of executive briefing programs. According to ABPM, world class projects go beyond conventional methods and explore new theories, ideas and approaches to architecture, interior design and branding.
