SAS® Visual Analytics wins in the CeBit.AU Business Awards

Leading SAS solution named for Best Project and a finalist for Top Solution amongst record number of nominations

Business intelligence and analytics leader SAS has won Best Project in the CeBit.AU Business Awards, and was a finalist in the Top Business Solution category.

The award was announced last night at the CeBit.AU 2014 Gala Dinner recognising SAS® Visual Analytics for excellence, innovation and achievement within the business technology industry.

Released in early 2012, Visual Analytics – which is available in on-premises deployment and in the cloud – enables users and executives to explore and interact with their data visually on PCs and tablets using a self-service reporting or mobile dashboard.

SAS Australia and New Zealand managing director, David Bowie, said this award is very much in line with the consistent positive feedback received from customers and analysts, and adds to growing validation from the industry.

“We’ve seen rapid growth in the uptake of this solution right across the business spectrum, from large enterprises through the mid-range to smaller businesses. Also, by individual parts of organisations with little or no previous business analytics experience or expertise,” He added that speed to deliver value and cost effectiveness have made SAS Visual Analytics widely popular.

More than 1,500 organisations around the world have adopted the solution, with local customers that include Followmont Transport, FlexiGroup, Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, BioGrid Australia, and Victorian Managed Insurance Authority.
