Data quality solutions from SAS help you remediate data problems and make better business decisions

There's no question that the most effective business practices are based on high-quality data. When you have accurate, up-to-date information driving your processes, you can operate more efficiently – and boost your chances of making the best possible decision. But good data quality isn't easy to achieve, especially when data is constantly streaming into your business from a wide variety of sources.

SAS puts data quality at the core of everything, helping you manage the entire life cycle and address your data quality issues without requiring you to physically move your data. You can profile and identify problems, preview data and set up repeatable processes to maintain a high level of quality. In the 2015 Gartner report, the authors note that CEOs prioritize "customer experience management, digital marketing and business analytics" – three areas where data quality counts, and where SAS® Data Quality can make a difference.

“SAS has long been recognized as a leading provider of data quality tools, as witnessed by 10 years of inclusion in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant," said Matthew Magne, Global Product Marketing Manager for Data Management at SAS. "SAS data management and data quality tools are easy to use for IT and business users, drive trusted data for both operational and analytical use cases, and are a key component of many data governance initiatives in organizations today.”

The Gartner report also highlights the size of the data quality tools market, noting, "Gartner estimates that it reached $1.4 billion in software revenue at the end of 2014. This translates into 11.6% growth in constant-dollar terms over 2013, which had brought 11.9% growth over 2012. Gartner forecasts that this market's growth will accelerate during the next few years, to 14.4% by 2017, bringing the total to $2.1 billion. This market is among the fastest-growing in the enterprise software sector."

To achieve [their] objectives, CIOs, CDOs and information leaders must ensure that the key information their enterprise holds about customers, products, suppliers and assets — and their interrelationships — is of sufficient quality (that is, fit for purpose and trusted) to enable profitable business operations. Otherwise, efforts to achieve these objectives will be impeded, which will result in less value for shareholders, reduced competitiveness, rising operational costs, loss of customers to competitors, and, potentially, fines for noncompliance with regulations.
