SAS recognized for extensive analytics insights in KLAS report
Survey respondents gave SAS early data score of 88 out of 100 for predictive analytics
Clients give SAS, the leader in business analytics software and service, high early performance scores for predictive analytics, according to a recent KLAS report, “Healthcare Analytics: Making Sense of the Puzzle Pieces.” KLAS is a research firm specializing in monitoring and reporting health care vendor performance. “The standout vendor for this area was SAS, with 89% of clients interviewed confirming uses of predictive analytics, far above that of any other vendor,” states the report.
"Health care reform is driving organizations to adopt leading-edge analytics – to predict and manage risk and proactively improve care quality,” said Graham Hughes, MD, chief medical officer, SAS Center for Health Analytics and Insights. “This recognition from our customers as a clear leader in advanced analytics further underscores SAS’ cross-industry power to deliver deep insights that improve business performance.”
Using predictive analytics – particularly modeling and forecasting – health plans and providers can answer the critical population health questions to better manage clinical and financial risk forecasts. According to the KLAS report, almost all SAS clients are employing predictive analytics. One customer noted, "I get a couple of different things from SAS® Analytics. First is that the sky is the limit in handling the data using statistics, analytics, graphics and predictive tools. Second is the functionality of accessing the data. There is almost nothing SAS can’t get their hands on.”
