Triangle CREW honors SAS' Building C with Champion Award for new LEED Certified Building

SAS' newest construction project, Building C, was honored with the Triangle CREW Champion Award for the new LEED Certified Building. The building is the first new construction in Wake County and fifth in North Carolina to be LEED Platinum certified by the US Green Building Council . Platinum is the highest level LEED certification.

"It was tremendously gratifying to work with the entire team to create a sustainable building," said SAS Project Designer Whitney Sexton. "Having Building C recognized as the best new LEED building in the Triangle is a testament to those efforts. We were honored to accept this award on behalf of SAS."

Building C opened in March 2011 and comprises the Executive Briefing Center, an office tower for employees, and a gourmet market-concept food court and café.

The Executive Briefing Center uses cutting-edge technologies to help customers learn about SAS® software. As the second-largest building at SAS' Cary headquarters, the building is 287,190 square feet and has 683 offices.
