Extract SAP R/3 Metadata Using the Extract from R/3 Wizard

You can use this wizard in SAS Management Console to pre-extract metadata from selected SAP R/3 tables and write that metadata to SAS data sets. After metadata is extracted, use the SAP R/3 Register Tables wizard in SAS Data Integration Studio to browse the metadata, select data sources for SAS Data Integration Studio, and write metadata about those SAP R/3 data sources to your metadata repository.
Follow these steps to use the wizard.

  3. From the Configured SAP Server list box, select the configured SAP server that lets you connect to your SAP R/3 system and click Next.
