Use the
New
SAP BW wizard in SAS Data Integration Studio to read
existing InfoPackage and InfoSource data in SAP Business Information
Warehouse (SAP BW). You can use the wizard to create a flat file in
a format that an existing InfoPackage can load into SAP BW. The InfoPackage
and InfoSource data that is read from SAP BW contains information
about the expected file structure and its location. The wizard loads
only transactional and characteristic data; characteristic data must
be of the master and text types.
You can use the data
that you read in using this wizard to generate a process flow diagram
and connect a registered table to the input port of the SAP BW File
Writer transformation template. You can then map the data to the correct
flat-file format based on the rules and metadata contained in the
InfoPackage and InfoSource.
Once the data is completely
mapped, you can run the job in SAS Data Integration Studio and process
the data as needed. The exact process that is used to transfer the
data to SAP BW depends on the InfoPackage settings and the location
of the external data files. The InfoPackage and InfoSource cannot
be modified from SAS.
The wizard contains
these windows.
