Sub-Zero Group honored for Excellence in Warranty by GWSCA

Top-ranked product quality, unparalleled customer loyalty stems from SAS® Analytics

The Global Warranty and Service Contract Association (GWSCA) announced recently that Sub-Zero Group Inc. has received its 2014 Excellence in Warranty award. Sub-Zero and Wolf, the industry leaders in premium refrigeration, wine storage and cooking equipment, are highly regarded for their achievements in refrigeration and cooking innovation and customer satisfaction. “Unrelenting dedication to quality, innovation and customer satisfaction is how we keep our promise to our customers of a superior ownership experience,” said Bob Schroeder, Vice President of Quality, Reliability and Customer Service at Sub-Zero Group. “We are pleased that GWSCA recognized the premium we place on quality, and on continuously improving our responsiveness to customer care inquiries. We couldn’t do that without our customer loyalty analytics partner, SAS.”

Sub-Zero: A quality analytics pioneer

Sub-Zero realized early that to maintain the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction, standard quality management systems and processes wouldn’t be adequate. An early adopter of analytics, Sub-Zero has been able to detect issues sooner and zero in on root causes for faster resolution.

Sub-Zero began using SAS® quality analytics solutions in 2004. Since then, Sub-Zero and Wolf have seen an improvement in service incident rates, and Sub-Zero’s Consumer Reports rating has climbed. Additionally, J.D. Power and Associates has ranked Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances within its top two positions in its annual Home Appliance Studies since 2010.

“From production line supervisors to boardroom executives, Sub-Zero Group lives and breathes quality,” said Mike Hitmar, SAS Product Marketing Manager. “That dedication to superior products and deep commitment to customers explain Sub-Zero’s 70-year stretch of profitability. At SAS, we share those values and results. Together we’ve found new ways to detect emerging quality issues quickly. And when fewer customers are affected, brand reputation is preserved. We congratulate Sub-Zero on its vision, leadership and this tremendous achievement.”
