Prescription Refills

To refill a prescription filled at a local pharmacy:

Call the pharmacy's automated refill line and follow the recorded prompts.

If there are authorized refills remaining on the prescription, the pharmacy will automatically refill the prescription.

If there are no authorized refills, the pharmacy will fax a refill request to us. We typically process refill requests within two business days. If we are unable to process the refill within that time period, we will contact you.

If you decide to speak to a pharmacist about a refill, be prepared to give the following information:

  • The name of the medication.
  • The dosage and directions for taking it (i.e., 250 mg three times a day).
  • The name of the Health Care Center nurse practitioner or physician who prescribed it.
  • The best phone number to use to reach you if needed.

To refiIl a prescription filled by mail order:

Call 1-800-378-5697 and ask for a prescription renewal. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Your prescription card ID number.
  • The name of the medication.
  • The dosage and directions for taking it (i.e., 250 mg three times a day).
  • The name of the Health Care Center nurse practitioner or physician who prescribed it.
  • The best phone number to use to reach you if needed.

Call the Healthcare Center if any of these conditions apply to your refill request:

  3. The dosage or directions have changed since your last refill.
  4. You need to change pharmacies.
  5. A written prescription is required.
