Welcome to the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games Participant Database, developed and sponsored by SAS.

This database contains profiles on athletes who participated in the 18 official and three demonstration sports featured at the 2003 World Games. Events took take place in 23 competition venues in the greater Dublin area and in Belfast from June 21-29 2003.

More than 6,500 athletes from over 160 international delegations showed the world the true meaning of sportsmanship over this magnificent nine-day event, which begins June 21 with the Opening Ceremony in Croke Park, Dublin.
